Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Spring 2019
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/18/2019
Forever remembered as one of the New York Rangers’ all-time greatest players, Vic Hadfield spent sixteen seasons with the Blueshirts, with his physicality and fearless play enduring him to Manhattan supporters. Part of the GAG line with Jean Ratelle and Rod Gilbert, Hadfield would be the first Ranger to secure 50 goals in a single season. Hailing from his personal collection, we have a pair of cufflink sets, with one “captain” set, along with a pair featuring team logos. Both produced by Tiffany with their original pouches and boxes included, the “captain” set features rectangular tiered faces, with engraved capital C’s, with these done in the drop-shadow style of the Rangers jerseys. The second “team logo” cufflinks are circular, with engraved Rangers shield logos. Each is also stamped "Tiffany & Co .925” (sterling), with a signed LOA from Mr. Hadfield to accompany.
We should note wear throughout including over the face of each “captain” cufflink, with additional wear along the underside of each “team logo” cufflink. Hadfield would captain the Rangers from 1971 to 1974.
