Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2019
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/26/2019
The holder/sharer of 33 NHL regular season and playoffs records, Paul Coffey was named to 4 NHL First All-Star Teams, with his 48-goal season in 1985-86 surely a record for the ages. We have a signed stick used by the 3-time Norris winner while playing in Motown in the mid-1990s, with this example gifted from the superstar directly to our consignor, Ken Daniels. A sportscaster with CBC from 1985 to 1997, Daniels is currently the play-by-play announcer for the Detroit Red Wings on Fox Sports Detroit. A Sher-Wood PMP 7030 model, “Coffey” and “77” factory graphics appear on the upper shaft, with “Handcrafted exclusively for Paul Coffey” along the underside. The stick retains its original white tape over the blade and black over the shaved handle, with the NHL striping accent intact but loose. Moderate use is visible, with wear to the blade at the tip along with heavy wear and marks to the shaft, especially along edges. An LOA from Ken Daniels will accompany.
