Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2018
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/6/2018
Always a hit with collectors due to both their diminutive and collectible size along with the wealth of historic hockey information they provide, we have a complete run of Montreal Canadiens media guides from 1960-61 to 2000-01 (40), along with three Habs programs from the 1930s, a Stanley Cup finals program from 1946 and 19 different Montreal Canadiens exhibit cards from the early-1960s. The programs include an example from 1934-35 for a match against the Maroons along with a pair from 1936-37, one vs the Bruins, the other, Detroit. The 1946 Stanley Cup finals is for Game 4, with Boston winning in overtime 3-2 for their only victory in the series, with Montreal winning in 5. The exhibit cards include 7 HOFers, with Beliveau, Plante, Geoffrion, Blake, Moore, Johnson and Henri Richard.
The media guides range in condition, with the majority exhibiting just light handling wear, with a few of the earlier examples showing the odd crease or corner ding. The 1934-35 program shows heavier wear, while the pair from 1936-37 show just light to moderate wear with no obtrusive damage. The 1946 finals program remains in beautiful condition, with a few faint vertical creases from once being folded. Lastly, the exhibit cards for the most part just show light corner wear.
