Personal miniature of the Clarence Campbell Bowl was presented to Islanders’ team captain Clark Gillies after he helped New York to a franchise record 48 wins and 111 points in 1977-78. The rugged left winger potted 35 goals and added 50 assists as the Isles edged second place Philadelphia by six points atop the Campbell Conference, with Bryan Trottier (2nd), Denis Potvin (5th) and rookie-of-the-year Mike Bossy (6th) all finishing in the top 10 of league scoring. Gillies joined Trottier and Potvin on the NHL’s First All-Star Team. Silver-plated handled cup with removable lid and chased detailing sits atop a six-sided 3-inch high wooden base and is engraved “New York Islanders 1977-78 Clark Gillies” on one side, with the name of the trophy and its "1968" year of inception on the other. This special keepsake will be accompanied by an LOA signed by Hall of Famer Clark Gillies.
Tarnishing is visible in spots along with surface loss, especially over the “Clarence” text. The trophy can also swivel on its base, with it’s mounting just slightly askew.
