Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction June 2018
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/19/2018
Known affectionately as The China Wall, legendary netminder Johnny Bower spent a quarter-century in professional hockey, most notably backstopping the Maple Leafs to four Stanley Cup championships. We have a wonderful collection of Bower signed items totaling three, with a vintage-style Leafs jersey, an 8” x 10” photo and Leafs puck. The jersey is an acrylic CCM creation made to simulate wool with “XL” tagging, along with a wonderful vintage-style felt Leafs team crest with embroidered detailing. Bower has signed to the left of the team crest in blue sharpie, and the signature displays well with minimal bleeding. Next, the 8” x 10” photo is on glossy stock and picture’s the HOFer in his Leafs finery during game action, with an attractive gold signature placed along the top right, with “HOF 76” added. A hologram has been affixed, with a matching COA to accompany from Classic Auctions. The final item is a signed Leafs puck, with this example produced by Viceroy, with Bower signing over the Leafs logo in gold, again adding his induction year. This lot will be accompanied by an LOA from Classic Auctions.
