Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction June 2018
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/19/2018
The 45th overall selection at the 1984 NHL Entry Draft, defenceman Trent Yawney spent a dozen seasons in the NHL, split chiefly between Chicago and Calgary. We have a Flames jersey that was worn by the Saskatchewan native in 1993-94, his third of five seasons spent in Alberta. A Maska Air-Knit label and size “52” fly tag remain affixed to the collar along with point-of-sale team-store tags, with embroidered NHL and CCM crests over the reverse bottom hem. Fashioned with an attractive Flames team crest fully administered in tackle twill, the red mesh V-neck has been accented with white and yellow sleeve and verso numbers, with “Yawney” across the nameplate in matching material. Game-wear includes just a few small marks over the lower front, with a few additional marks over the left sleeve. There are also faint burns over each shoulder, with a small resulting hole over the left. The team patch denoting the garment as a “Set #1” example sits over the inside hem, with a matching LOA from the Flames to accompany.
