The Nebraska Cornhuskers celebrated their first four NCAA football national titles in NCAA football with this impressive commemorative 10-karat gold ring. According to our consignor this ring would have been made available by the school to purchase in circa 1995 to commemorate the four championships (1970, 1971, 1994, and 1995) won by the Huskers to that point. "Jostens 10K" is stamped on inside the size 13 band of the ring, which has an approximate weight of 37 grams. There are four zirconias set in a raised gold “1” in the middle of the red stone, which is loose, in the tableau. Comes with the ring’s original sales receipt and a generic presentation box.
“Nebraska Huskers National Champions” is spelled out in raised gold around the bezel with each championship year, “70”, “71”, “94”, and “95” in raised gold, one on each of the four corners. The left shank features “Big Red” across the top above a raised gold image of a Nebraska football helmet, and the right shank displays the “Huskers” logo above a football. Some proud wear on display here with some dings to the wide portions above and below the upper and lower bezels, and various surface scratches, mostly to the back of the band.
