A Stanley Cup champion with Pittsburgh in 2009, Tyler Kennedy spent six seasons in Pennsylvania, finishing out his career with New Jersey in 2015-16. We have a rookie-season Penguins jersey worn by the Sault Ste. Marie native during the first three rounds of the 2008 Stanley Cup playoffs, and it’s been photo-matched. Size 56 tagging sits affixed to the collar, with NHL and Reebok crests on the front and back necklines respectively. Featuring an attractive Penguins team crest with embroidered detailing, the solid white V-neck has been embellished with oversized and textured sleeve and verso numbers, with the Pittsburgh 250th anniversary crest over the right shoulder. An LOA from the Penguins organization will accompany.
Equipment manager Dana Heinz has signed the fight strap, with the team patch affixed directly beneath denoting this sweater as a “2007-08 Stanley Cup Playoff Jerseys” example. Game-wear includes a few marks over the front and sleeves, with some loose threading to the “250th” patch. There are also burns over each sleeve, with small resulting holes over the left elbow. Getty Image #80768621 from April 16th 2008 (Game Four of the Eastern Conference quarterfinals - Pens win series that night) has been matched to the long loose thread hanging from the 250th patch, while Getty Image #81140697 from May 15th (Game Four of the Eastern Conference Finals) has also been matched to the long loose thread hanging from the 250th patch.
