Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction February 2018
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/27/2018
A more than capable defenceman, Jay Boumeester held one of the longest iron man streaks in NHL history, appearing in 737 consecutive regular season games between 2004 and 2014. The Edmonton native also appeared in both the 2007 and 2009 NHL All-Star Games, with this signed Eastern Conference example worn by Bouwmeester during the second period of the 2009 contest. CCM size “58” tagging sits affixed to the collar, with NHL and Reebok crests on the front and back necklines respectively. Featuring an “East” team crest that’s been partially embroidered, dual-colour numbers grace the front, verso and right sleeve. Date patches for each year Montreal hosted the All-Star Game appear over the left sleeve, with the 2009 All-Star Game patch residing over the right breast. A MeiGray patch numbered F02782 sits on the inside hem, with a matching LOA to accompany.
With just some of the red coloured material bleeding through the reverse numbers, the jersey remains in gorgeous condition. Jay has signed within the bottom of the reverse “3” in thin black marker, and the signature displays well.
