Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction February 2018
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/27/2018
A hobby favorite are Shirriff coins, with this group from the first of three consecutive years that the discs were found in dessert packages. Housed in coin holders and binder pages, the near set is requiring #102-Flaman to be complete and has minimal condition issues to report. Many of the coin holders are not stapled shut, giving us the chance to fully examine and confirm sharp, problem-free examples of superstars Howe, Sawchuck, Plante, Hull, Hall and Mikita, with surface scratches to Beliveau and a cracked "window" (we don't spot another anywhere) in the Richard. A half dozen Red Wings do not have white, white backs as is sometimes the case, with just two edge chips spotted throughout; 15-Wilson and 44-Delvecchio. Toning in the backgrounds of a small percentage is also to note, but overall, a real decent ensemble in nice collectible condition.
