Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2017
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/7/2017
Drafted 81st overall in 1985, Fredrik Olausson won a Stanley Cup with Detroit in 2002, appearing in the Cup final the very next year with Anaheim. This Penguins jersey was worn by the Swede in 1996-97, his first of two seasons in Pennsylvania. Labels from Starter and Center Ice along with a “54-R” swatch sit along the collar, with embroidered Starter and NHL crests on the back bottom hem. Styled with the Pens team crest that saw use from 1992-99, the white V-neck has been accented with dual-colour tackle twill sleeve and verso numbers, with “Olausson” across the nameplate in matching material. A number of marks cover the front including a large stick mark over the team crest, with additional examples over each sleeve. There is also some rusting to the buttons on the fight strap.
