Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2017
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/7/2017
Rarely seen or found in working condition, especially compared to the more common examples manufactured by Gotham, Munro, Coleco and others, we have a seldom-seen Cresta table top hockey game from the circa-1950s. At roughly 19 ½” x 27 ¼” with an attractive finished wood base, the game features the familiar “pole” operated players, with a clean surface that contains just the rink’s particulars along with a centralized Cresta logo. The original box is also included, along with a smaller rarely seen example with hockey graphics that originally housed the players, instructions and game puck. Each metal player is present an accounted for, along with the instructions and game puck, with the box in decent shape with a flap detached but present. We should also note that one of the fold-out metal nets is void of a screw, with 4 of the rubber ends for the player poles also missing. Considering the rarity and condition along with the fact that it’s complete, this Cresta hockey game is worthy of an impressive display.
