Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction June 2017
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/21/2017
For the Beantown loyalist, we have a group of six items featuring the Boston Bruins including signed items from Dit Clapper, Milt Schmidt and Bobby Orr. First, we have an image of Orr’s famous 1970 overtime goal mounted to board at roughly 15 ¾” x 19 ¾”, and it’s been signed by Orr with a personalization, with a plaque affixed from GM Goodwrench Service, hinting to it’s past use, followed by an original 11” x 13 ¾” Saturday Evening Post advertisement culled from a magazine featuring Dit Clapper, with an accompanying signed 3” x 5” index card featuring a gorgeous signature dated 1974. This is followed by an 11” x 14” Canada Post print of Milt Schmidt, with the legend signing along the bottom, adding “HHOF 1961”. Rounding out the Bruins lot, we have a neat 16” x 20” print of the “All-Time” Bruins, and it’s been signed by the artist along with a pair of 5 ¼” x 15 ¼” wooden plaques, one featuring Bobby Orr with the jerseys worn throughout his career, along with a second plaque featuring the Original Six era arenas. The Orr plaque remains new and sealed, while the Original Six example is in very good condition with surface and edge wear.
