Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction June 2017
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/21/2017
Bob Bourne had four Stanley Cups to his credit when he wore this 1984-85 New York Islanders blue mesh road gamer with team repairs, including the front collar seam. There is a chevron-shaped team repair in orange and white thread through the left sleeve stripes just above the upper seam of the left elbow gusset, and a diagonal sewing fix on the right front tail. The Pedersons logo is embroidered in blue thread on the right rear tail and the Pedersons size XL tagging in the back of the collar has a washed-out "14" handwritten in washed-out black marker. There is a team repair under the nameplate, which was possibly reattached but is the vintage, original nameplate. Comes with an LOA.
There are marks on the multi-twill blue, white and orange Islanders crest sewn on the front, blue paint transfer on the left rear tail, a diagonal black mark on the front hem, board burns on the sleeves and blue marks in the middle of the white mesh stripe on the front tail and on the white stripes on the sleeves, yellowish stains on the tails and sleeves that are most apparent on the white mesh portions.
