Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction June 2017
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/21/2017
Awesome 1977-78 Vancouver Canucks game-worn jersey was sported by defenseman Claire Alexander, who was acquired from Toronto on January 29, 1978. Alexander had eight goals and 26 points in 32 points with the Canucks. This beauty from the second half of the 1977-78 season has Rawlings size 44 tagging in the back of the neck and royal blue twill numbers sewn on the back and both sleeves. Garter-style fight strap remains inside the back and there is evidence of a former nameplate with square corners, which is consistent with Vancouver game-worn jerseys from the second half of the season, which was the last the Canucks wore their original colors before switching to the black, gold and red that followed.
There is a small reddish-brown stain below just to the left of the front of the collar and blue marks on the front right yoke and the rear of the left shoulder yoke.
