Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction June 2017
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/21/2017
Demolished almost two decades ago, the famous Boston Garden housed both the Bruins and Celtics during the venue’s glory days, and was witness to some impressive concerts including the Beatles, Elvis and The Rolling Stones. We have a seat from the Garden, and its been signed by Beantown legend Phil Esposito. At just over 32” in height, the free-standing solid orange seat features cast construction with wooden slats, with “2” stenciled in white along the top of the seat back. Esposito has signed along the very back slat of the seat in black marker adding “HOF 1984”, and the signature stands out well. With some wear to the finish on the top of the seat and along the top edge of the seat back, the Gardens relic survives in pleasing condition. There are also a few small cracks present to the seat back slats, but each remains solid and sturdy.
