Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction October 2016

A former on-ice leader, Theoren Fleury should be applauded for the advocacy work that he’s passionately undertaken since retiring. This Calgary Flames alternate captain’s third jersey was worn by the Saskatchewan native in 1998-99, and it’s been photo-matched. A CCM label along with a size “52” fly tag are affixed to the collar, with embroidered CCM and NHL crests on the back bottom hem. Styled with the Flames alternate team crest that first saw use this season, the solid black V-neck has been accented with slanted triple-twill sleeve and verso numbers, with matching Flames crests over each shoulder. The team patch has been heat-pressed onto the inner hem, and it states that this garment is an “Alternate Jersey #1 of 2” example. A team LOA will accompany.
Game-wear includes faint marks on the lower front and team crest, with additional examples along with board burns over each sleeve. Regarding the previously mentioned photo-match, Getty Image #395135 from Jan 13th 1999 has been matched to the three black marks on the team crest.
