A great grouping of awards and trophies are here for your consideration, with examples that were presented to Buddy O’Connor, Pierre Mondou, Serge Aubry and Marcel Bonin. 1) Western Furniture Award presented to Pierre Mondou (9 ½” x 11 ½”). A wooden scroll-style plaque, a plate has been affixed with “The Western Furniture Award/Most Goals in a Season for the N.S. Voyageurs/Pierre Mondou 76-77”. A few scratches are present on the plate and plaque. 2) CHL Leading Goalie award presented to Serge Aubry (11”). A generic player is perched above, with a plate affixed to the wooden base that reads “C.H.L. 1969-70 Leading Goalie Serge Aubry Tulsa”. Just a few scratches are present. 3) WHL Lester Patrick Cup plaque (12” x 15”). A shield-shaped wooden plaque, a decorated plate has been affixed that reads “Western Hockey League/Lester Patrick Cup/Vancouver 1969”. With just light wear to the wooden plaque itself, the plate contains a number of scratches. 4) Large wooden skate award presented to Marcel Bonin (14”). A wooden skate sits on a wooden base, with “18” added along with a plate that’s partially detached that reads “Hommage a Marcel Bonin/La Commission Sportive”. The base has a few marks from previous attachments, with wear to the finished surface. 5) Sher-Wood award (9” x 12”). A generic player is mounted, with two plates, one has the date of “28 Aout 1972”, while the other mentions the award was for a Quebec Nordiques golf tournament. Scratches are present to the plaque and base. 6) Buddy O’Connor golf award (8” x 11”). A membership ticket that was awarded to O’Connor in 1962 from the Summerlea Golf and Country Club, it sits in an unassuming frame, with wear to the frame and some spotting and toning to the certificate. A framed photo (9” x 10 ½”) of O’Connor with golfing buddies is included. 7) Sorel Hawks award presented to Pierre Mondou (10” x 12”). A wooden plaque that features dual-plates with laurel wreath and medallion, the particulars are listed along with “Pierre Mondou”. The plate and base feature a number of scratches, with the hockey player medallion detached but present. 8) Montreal Canadiens oldtimers tray (10” diameter). A heavily tarnished bowl contains a small metal plate with “Les Anciens Canadiens” with “Quesnel, British Columbia February 2nd, 1983”. The bowl shows heavy wear, and the mounted plate is detached but present. 9) 1954-55 30th anniversary Red Wings plaque presented to Marcel Bonin (8” x 10”). A simple wooden base features a metal plate with an image of the 1954-55 Stanley Cup Champion Detroit Red Wings, with all players listed. The particulars mention that it was presented to Marcel Bonin on the occasion of the 30th anniversary. 10) “Save Easy” award presented to Pierre Mondou (11” x 15”). A scroll-style metal plaque sits on a wooden base, with text that reads in full, “The Save Easy Award/For Most Valuable Player on the 76-77 N.S. Voyageurs/Pierre Mondou”. The base has a few scratches, and the plaque shows heavier wear. 11) “Old Pros” plaque (8 ½” x 9 ½”). A small wooden plaque with “Old Pros” in French and English features the facsimile signatures of a number of past stars including Richard, Worsley, Geoffrion and others. Also included, we have a mounted photo (12” x 14”) of the 1974-75 Montreal Junior hockey team which includes Pierre Mondou. The mount has some toning and marks, along with some edge wear to the photo. An LOA for the Mondou trophies will accompany.
