Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction October 2016
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/9/2016
Current Stanley Cup Champions the season this jersey was worn, Brian Hayward would make his debut for Les Canadiens in 1986-87, staying with the club for four seasons. Currently void of tagging in the collar, the v-neck jersey features an embroidered CCM patch on the back bottom hem. Styled with dual-colour tackle twill numbers and name-on-nameplate along with the most famous team crest in hockey, the jersey remains in beautiful condition, ideal for display. Brian has augmented the sweater with a nice and solid blue marker signature, placed in the top section of his back number, with just the slightest amount of bleeding into the material.
Nice use is exhibited on the sweater, with a few dark stick marks on the front beneath the team crest, along with examples on each sleeve. There are two team repairs, one on the front, the other on the right sleeve along the striping band. There is also a stain near the left elbow, along with a pair of slits.
