Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction October 2016
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/9/2016
Hailing from a pair of charity games played to aid the Humane Society in 1925, we have a program for contests between the World Champion Victoria Cougars and the famous Senators of Ottawa. The Sens defeated the current Stanley Cup holders in both games, 6-2 and 2-0. HOFers Clancy, Nighbor and Connell dressed for the Sens, along with Fredrickson and Hap Holmes for the Cougars. At 6” x 9”, the cream-coloured program’s cover features an image of the Senators, along with photos of the 1924 Canadiens and a few early Ottawa teams. With just a faint vertical crease present, the program displays beautifully, with just a few minor creases along with some rust to the interior staples. There is also a hole punched through the publication in the upper left corner.
