Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction October 2016
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/9/2016
A perennial powerhouse during the early-1980s, the New York Islanders became only the second team in NHL history to win four consecutive Stanley Cups. This equipment bag originates from the club, and it was used during this important era. Thick canvas in Islanders colours, the bag has logos on each side screened-on, along with “35” decals at each end. A label from C.B. Sports Inc. remains affixed at one end near the zipper, with heavy use exhibited on the bag, including fading to the fabric along with a few holes present. Most likely originating with a goaltender, the large bag also has a section where the zipper has torn away from the fabric.
