Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction October 2016
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/9/2016
An icon of Hollywood’s golden era, Ingrid Bergman began acting at age 19 in her native Sweden before making a big splash stateside with Intermezzo: A Love Story in 1939. A number of memorable pictures would follow, including Casablanca, For Whom the Bell Tolls and Gaslight. Bergman would pass away in 1982 from breast cancer. This lot features a photo of Bergman that’s been signed. At just under 4” x 6 ½”, the real photo card is on firm stock, and it pictures an attractive later image of the Hollywood starlet who’s all smiles. Ingrid has signed beneath her image in blue ink, with some areas of the signature “thinning” due to its original placement on the slick/glossy surface. An LOA from JSA will accompany. The photo itself remains clean along with the verso, with tape remnants remaining at the top and bottom portions. There is also a small indentation just below the tape on the top portion, but this does not affect the display value whatsoever.
