Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction February 2016
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/23/2016
From the nation’s capital, we have this pair of matched sets that includes both game-used sticks along with game-worn gloves from Wade Redden and Martin Havlat while with Ottawa. Both sticks retain their original tape jobs on the blades, with gauze-style on the shaft/knob including handwritten numbers. A Sher-Wood model for Havlat used in the early-2000s, and a Louisville example for Redden from circa-2006, both sticks have their names appearing in factory graphics on the upper shaft. Both sticks also show light but distinct use, including puck marks along with a few abrasions to the lower shafts. The accompanying Redden gloves are Bauer models in Ottawa colours, with handwritten “6” on the palms. They show nice use, with wear to the surfaces, especially the tip of the thumbs. Wade has signed each over the wrist guards, and the signatures present well. The Havlat gloves are Sher-Wood models, with heavy wear present including puck and stick marks and abrasions. The gloves have been photo-matched to specific black marks from his 2001-02 Pacific Trading hockey card, and a copy of said card will be included.
