Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2015

It was the Toronto Maple Leafs 3rd straight Stanley Cup in the spring of 1964, with the series highlighted by Leafs d-man Bobby Baun scoring the winner in overtime of game 6 against Detroit after shortly before being taken off on a stretcher with a broken leg, and Andy Bathgate notching the first and final goals of game 7 when the Leafs shut out the Wings 4-0. From April 25th, 1964, the night the Leafs hoisted that historic Cup, is a gorgeous 68-page game program, complete, intact, and unmarked, a definite gem in near-perfect condition with just fainter-than-faint marks on the cover, with names such as Sawchuk Howe, Ullman, Delvechhio, Bower, Keon, Brewer, Armstrong and rest jumping out from the pristine middle lineup page. Also offered is a Leafs vintage-style jersey, tagged in the collar as “CCM Vintage Hockey” with a CCM size “XXL” flap below. The jersey, with tie-neck collar and the tags still attached, comes complete with a “Bower” nameplate and his number “1” on the back, with HOFer Bower signing his number in clear blue marker and adding “HOF 76”. The nameplate has become slightly unglued in areas but can be easily corrected if so desired, and aside from that, it’s a jersey in immaculate condition.
