Guarding the Team Canada blue line in 7 of the 8 games played, Guy Lapointe contributed a single assist at the famed Canada-Russia series in 1972, along with 6 PIMs. This vintage stick was used by the Habs’ HOF defenseman during the series. A Victoriaville special edition model with the red and white stickers around the shaft, and uniquely used during the Summit Series, has “G Lapointe” stamped to the shaft. The number “25” Guy wore for Team Canada is written in black marker below his well-worn white tape knob. Nice game use shows in Guy’s black tape job on the blade, which shows later off-ice use as the tape and underside of the blade is somewhat worn down. Fascinating and highly desirable Team Canada 1972 game-used sticks were collected direct from the stick rack immediately after the powerhouse team of NHL greats played the last of their four games on home soil in Vancouver. These remarkable and historic Summit Series game-used hockey sticks were obtained by someone associated with Team Canada 1972 after the game at Pacific Coliseum on September 8th. This is a truly rare and unique opportunity to bid on Team Canada 1972 hockey memorabilia that saw active duty during the Summit Series.
