The image of Frankenstein for 20th Century filmgoers will always be the one incarnated by Boris Karloff. Born William Henry Pratt in London in 1887, the English actor became a film legend under his chosen stage name after he brought to life Dr. Frankenstein’s monster in the 1931 film adaptation of Mary Shelley’s novel. This magnificent framed display features a “Sincerely, Boris Karloff” cut autograph with a blue ink signature that comes with a JSA LOA and a second LOA. The autograph cut, which displays to 2” x 4”, sits within the black matte below a magnificent 8x10 modern print of a photo of Karloff as Frankenstein, and above a Karloff bio plaque with the dates of his birth, and his death in 1969.
