Finishing first in the Northeast Division at the conclusion of the 2010-11 NHL season, the Boston Bruins first met the traditional-rival Montreal Canadiens in the postseason, and after dispatching of the Habs along with Philadelphia and Tampa Bay, faced a strong Vancouver Canucks squad in the finals. The series would go seven games, with the Beantowners capturing their first championship in almost four decades. This large Stanley Cup banner has been team-signed by the 2011 Stanley Cup champion Boston Bruins. At approx 36” x 59”, the solid gold-coloured nylon banner sports a Bruins logo over the center, with “Boston Bruins” above and “Stanley Cup Champions 2011” below, all in sewn twill letters. 22 have signed in black marker, with 11 signatures including Chara, Bergeron and Marchand to the left of the team crest, while 11 have signed the right side including Ryder, Reechi and Horton. 13 different player holograms have been affixed along the base, with a COA to accompany.
The additional signers include Thomas, Rask, Krejci, Boychuk, Campbell, Seguin, Lucic, Kaberle, Kelly, McQuaid, Peverley, Paille, Ference, Seidenberg, Thornton and Coach Claude Julien. Wooden rods have been inserted along the top and bottom to facilitate hanging. The signatures present well, with light wear to the banner itself.
