Only the second NHL All-Star Game ever to be held on Californian soil, the 1997 installment of the popular event witnessed another Western vs Eastern Conference affair, with the East outscoring their opponents 11-7. It would be the 47th All-Star Game, and it was highlighted by a hat trick from Owen Nolan. This Western Conference jersey was worn by netminder Andy Moog, and it’s been signed. CCM and Center Ice labels along with a size 56 fly tag sit affixed to the collar, with embroidered NHL and CCM crests on the back bottom hem. Featuring a partially embroidered twill “Western” team crest, the sweater has been accented with double-twill numbers with the name on verso sewn directly onto the garment. The important 1997 NHL All-Star Game patch rests over the right shoulder, while a Stars team crest resides over the left. A 1997 NHL All-Star Game stamp has been applied to the fight strap along with a serial number, and it indicates that this was one of five jerseys worn for either the official photo shoot, pre-game warm-up or in one of the three periods. Moog has also added a beautiful black marker signature to the interior, on the reverse side of the team crest, and it displays well. With no discernible game-wear present, the sweater remains in gorgeous condition. An LOA from the NHLPA will accompany.
