Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction February 2018
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/27/2018
The best-selling recording artist from 1939 to 1943, big band leader Glenn Miller secured 23 number-one hits in only four years, a total since rivaled by no one. We have a signed photo of the legendary musician offered. At 5” x 7”, the sepia-toned image pictures a smiling Miller with trombone in hand, with a beautiful signature with no issues placed along the top right section. The reverse has a pencil notation with “Received April 11, 1940”, with light wear to the front and minor staining to the reverse. Miller’s aircraft disappeared in bad weather over the English Channel while traveling to entertain U.S. troops in France during World War II - he was 40 years old. An LOA from JSA will accompany.
