Canada won the 1997 world championship in Finland to claim its second gold medal in four years. Offered is the IIHF gold medal presented to Wayne Cashman, who was an associate coach on Andy Murray's staff when Canada beat Sweden in a best-of-three final. Spectacular gold medal measures 2 3/4" in diameter and comes with its distinctive original woven ribbon. Also included are a number of Cash's souvenirs from the 1997 World Championships, which are listed on our website. Comes with Wayne Cashman's signed LOA. The medal features an image of two players on the face encircled by “Ice Hockey World Championships 1997 Pool A” in raised letters. Four stick blades and “IIHF” are featured on the reverse. Also included are Cash’s 1997 world championship participating medal, signed Team Canada 1997 World Champions cap, size L Team Canada Nike/Bauer training jacket, and Hockey Canada penholder, pins (7), and keychain.
