Playing his junior hockey with the Montreal Junior Canadiens of the OHA and going undrafted, Robin Burns would play a total of 190 National Hockey League games over the course of five (5) years with the likes of the Pittsburgh Penguins and Kansas City Scouts, Burns would also win a Calder Cup championship with the Hershey Bears in 1974. Offered here, we present this Kansas City Scouts game-worn jersey worn by Burns during the franchise's inaugural season of 1974-75. A durene knit construction garment made by Wilson, the brand's washing instructions and size label that displays a "48" designation is sewn to the inner collar. Decorated over the front with a tri-layer tackle twill Scouts team crest that features beautiful chain-stitched embroidery details throughout, the sleeves and verso of the jersey have been decorated with Burns' number "13" in dual layer white-over-red tackle twill numerals. Having a "1974" year swatch sewn inside the reverse hem, the jersey displays just light game-wear in the form of a couple of stick marks through the left side of the team crest while some very light inner pilling, thread fraying and puckering is found on the interior that is also void of a fight strap. A Classic Auctions LOA will accompany the piece.
