Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2021
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/23/2021
The first occasion that two undefeated boxers fought each other for the heavyweight title, the epic tilt between Muhammad Ali and Joe Frazier in 1971 has been forever known as “The Fight of the Century”. Celebrating that monumental battle that served as Ali’s first loss, we have a framed display signed by the champ. Featuring a 15” x 19” image of Ali outside of Frazier’s training facility snapped by famous Madison Square Garden photographer George Kalinsky double-matted over the left, an 8” x 10” photo from the fight has been signed by Ali in dark marker, with a plaque inserted beneath listing the particulars. With the signature displaying well, the display has been framed to full dimensions of approx 26 ½” x 32”. A PSA/DNA sticker numbered “C63848” has been affixed to the signed photo, with a matching COA to accompany.
