Combining to play a grand total of 1237 National Hockey League games over the course of their respective careers, Larry Carriere and Darryl Edestrand both suited up for the Los Angeles Kings during the 1977-78 season wearing this classic photo-matched purple and yellow garment at individual times during the year. A mostly mesh construction offering with a Goodman & Sons tag that displays a size "50" designation affixed inside the front hem, knitted yellow stripes are inserted into both sleeves and well as at the hem. Decorated over the front with a layered Kings team crest that features beautifully embroidered details throughout its entirety, the sleeves and verso of the garment have been accented with the number "25" that was worn by both players in dual layer yellow-over-white tackle twill numerals. Having had the matching style letters that spell out Edestrand affixed directly to the material at the top of the back, letters spelling out "Carriere" were also over the reverse at one time during his short two (2) game stint with the club that year, with evidence of their placement and subsequent removal still apparent and resulting in a couple of cuts that were repaired by Kings equipment staff. Sporting a garter belt style fight strap on the interior that has been sewn through the bottom of the "2" on the reverse, the jersey shows good game-wear via stick marks and board burns over the front and both sleeves while a couple of other light stick marks grace the reverse as well. Also showing team repairs near the right shoulder, a red coloured board paint transfer mark over the right side and an unrepaired hole on the underside of the left forearm, light pilling also present on the interior at the elbows. An LOA will accompany the piece.**ADDENDUM**The jersey hails from the set of sweaters once acquired by Milt Byron of Byron's HockeyLand. The jerseys came to him without names on the back as the Kings removed them for preseason play, a practice common for the era, and along with them the Kings sent the material to make the individual letters which Milt's mom did upon receipt to the best of her ability (she didnt make the cut outs on the inside of letters that should have had them). Therefore, the letters on the reverse are not the original's put on by the team when the jersey was worn.
