The original Oklahoma City Cavalry went out with a bang, winning the 1996-97 Continental Basketball Association championship before they folded. Offered is the 1996-97 Cavalry CBA championship 10-karat gold ring that was presented to Greg Slavonic, one of the ill-fated team’s owners, to commemorate Oklahoma City’s 4-2 series win over the Florida Beach Dogs in the CBA final. “LGB 10K” is stamped inside the size 9 1/2 band of the ring, which has an approximate weight of 31 grams and features a large zirconia set in the middle of a light blue stone on the tableau. A Balfour ring bag is included. Comes with Greg Slavonic’s signed LOA, which details his involvement with the team.
“Oklahoma City Cavalry 1997” is spelled out in raised letters on the outer edge of the bezel, with “CBA Champions” in raised letters on the bezel’s inner edge. “Slavonic” appears above a Cavs logo and “97” on the left shank. The right shank displays the team’s “Game Time” rallying cry and an image of a trophy with “CBA” at the bottom, and “39-32” below that.
