Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction June 2018
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/19/2018
A veteran of over 600 NHL regular season contests, Claude Loiselle was originally selected by the Detroit Red Wings 23rd overall at the 1981 NHL Entry Draft. The Ottawa native appeared for Detroit, New Jersey, Quebec, Toronto and New York during his career. We have an Islanders jersey worn by Loiselle during the 1993-94 campaign, his final NHL season where he skated in 17 games. A Maska Air-Knit label and size “52” fly tag grace the collar, with embroidered CCM and NHL crests over the reverse bottom hem. Styled with the familiar Islanders team crest fully administered in tackle twill, the white V-neck has been accented with attractive royal blue tackle twill sleeve and verso numbers with orange trim, with “Loiselle” across the nameplate in single blue twill. A few large stick marks are present over the lower front, with additional large marks over each sleeve. Faint burns are also visible, with pilling in a few spots including near the team crest and over each lower sleeve. The screened-on team patch denoting the garment as a “Set 1” example sits over the inside hem, with a matching LOA to accompany.
