Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction June 2017
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/21/2017
Rarely seen or offered, we have a remarkable Tegata hand impression featuring the legendary Wayne Gretzky. Executed on handmade Japanese Hamada paper at roughly 9 ½” x 11”, Wayne has signed in silver over his hand print that was administered with black ink, with a background collage of various Gretzky images encompassing, framed to full dimensions of 36” x 36”. A hologram numbered BAM19506 has been placed along the bottom right corner of the Hamada paper along with the limited-edition number of “99/99” handwritten, with this display purchased directly from WGA having remained in their offices since the original production. All of the offered pieces from this collection feature low or desirable limited-edition numbers. A COA from UDA will accompany.
‘Tegata ‘is a traditional form of Japanese memorabilia that is reserved only for the most superior athletes, and Gretzky is the fourth of UDA's impressive exclusive athletes to have a piece produced (the others being Michael Jordan, LeBron James, and Tiger Woods).
