Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction June 2018
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/19/2018
On the want list of every vintage puck collector, we have a scarce and highly desirable Spalding example from the 1930s. Identical to the pucks used in the NHL for most of the decade up until 1942, this version features matching company logos on each side, with “Official National League” around the outer edge of the logo. Also sporting sharper edges than found on later Art Ross/Tyer examples, the vintage puck exhibits moderate use, with a number of scrapes and cuts present, along with a few small gouges along edges. Despite these minor flaws, the puck displays brilliantly, and is ready for an appreciative home.
