Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction June 2018
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/19/2018
One of the most venerated goaltenders in NHL history, Terry Sawchuk has often been described as being a troubled soul, and despite his personal off-ice problems, the HOFer always managed to give his best on the ice. We have an attractive framed 16” x 20” black and white photo of the Winnipegger, with a desirable signature cut below. Picturing Terry in his Red Wings uniform as he prepares in the dressing room for his next on-ice battle, both the photo and 2” x 4” (exposed) signature cut have been double-matted, with the frame at full dimensions of 24 ½” x 29 ½”. The one-time shutout king has signed the cream-coloured paper cut in ballpoint, and the signature displays beautifully. There is some light wear to the frame, with just some toning to the cut to mention.
