Sid the Kid’s memorable 2009-10 season saw him win the Mark Messier Leadership Award and score a career-high 51 goals to share the Maurice Richard Trophy with Tampa Bay’s Steven Stamkos. Crosby’s Reebok game-used stick is from the Penguins’ 6-5 overtime win against Boston on November 14, 2009, when Sid had a goal and two assists. This keepsake obtained directly from Sid has his original tape jobs on the blade and knob, which has “87” handwritten in black marker on the front. "S. Crosby 2" factory graphics sit below the knob on the upper shaft. Solid game use includes a gouge in the tape job on the blade exposes a small chip to the top edge and v-shaped mark on the back. Comes with a Frameworth COA.
The date of the game “11-14-09” is handwritten in a black marker notation on the bottom of the back end of the nicely-worn white tape job on the knob. Labeling sticker applied to the lower back of the shaft reads “11/14/09 vs Boston Bruins (6-5) OT Win 1 Goal – 2 Assists”. "S. Crosby 2" factory graphics sit below the knob on the upper shaft.
