Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2019

The second-fastest player in NHL history to reach the 300-goal milestone, Phil Esposito accomplished the feat in a Dec 12th matchup vs Oakland in 1971, being only the 16th player to reach the lofty plateau. We have a signed stick used by the HOFer in 1971-72, with a “300th Goal” plaque attached. A Northland Custom Pro, “Esposito” and “7” are stamped-on, with a stamp from Bruins’ supplier Woody Dumart and Company. Sporting the original black tape on the blade and white over the handle, most of the striping accents are intact, with a plastic plaque added midway down the shaft with “300th NHL Goal 1971-72”. There is also handwritten text visible beneath, with just “oal Stick 12/12/71” exposed.
The stick shows nice game-use, with the blade tape slightly bowing, with just a very light separation at the heel. There are also additional marks to the lower shaft. Espo has added a beautiful black marker signature across the front side of the shaft, with no issues.
