Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2018
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/6/2018
The current record holder for career playoff goals by a defenceman, Paul Coffey first honed his skills in the pre-OHL (OMJHL) with both Kingston and Sault Ste. Marie, scoring an amazing 89 points in 69 games with the latter in 1978-79. We have a stick used by the HOFer during his pre-NHL days in the mid-to-late-1970s. A CCM Pro-Flyte model, “6” appears stamped over the upper shaft for the lie, with the original black tape over the blade and white over the knob intact. Now void of the striping accent, the stick shows moderate to thorough use, with wear to the underside as well as the taped section of blade including a few loose strands, with additional marks to the lower shaft and wear to the graphics. There is also a minor crack that starts at the toe section. A signed LOA from Paul Coffey will accompany.
