Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction June 2017

The only player to challenge Wayne Gretzky’s utter dominance, one could speculate the career Mario Lemieux could have enjoyed if it wasn’t for injuries and health problems. This stick was used by Lemieux during the mid-1990s. A preferred KOHO Revolution model, “Lemieux” factory graphics appear on the upper shaft, with the stick retaining its original tape on the blade and handle/knob. Residue from a previously affixed tape strand is present on the upper shaft, with a stamp code of “0631-5” on the underside along with “15” handwritten. Exhibiting nice use with wear to the taped section of blade along with a few marks to the lower shaft, the stick remains in wonderful condition. Lemieux would average over 2 points-per-game from 1991-1997, the period this stick most likely hails from.
