Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2018

After winning the Stanley Cup five times in a row with the Montreal Canadiens dynasty of the 1950s, Jean Beliveau was in the midst of a run of five Cup titles in seven seasons as team captain when he wielded this game-used stick that is team-signed by members of the 1966-67 Habs. Beliveau’s original tape jobs remain on the blade and knob, and Big Jean’s iconic No. "4" is stamped high on the shaft of his CCM Custom Pro gamer that displays the McNiece’s stamp further down the shaft. Beliveau and fellow HOFers Yvan Cournoyer, Dick Duff and Rogie Vachon are among the 14 black marker signatures along the front of the shaft along with the likes of John Ferguson, Claude Provost and Ralph Backstrom.
There are cracks at the toe and on the heel that appear to be from the wood separating by aging, which is common enough in sticks from this era.
The stick is also signed by Bobby Rousseau, Gilles Tremblay, Dave Balon, Claude Larose, Jim Roberts, Ted Harris and Noel Price.
