Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2019
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/26/2019
Already well on his way to forging out a HOF career, Connor McDavid was originally granted "Exceptional Player" status by Hockey Canada as a 15-year old, allowing him to play major junior hockey one year early. Three seasons would be spent with the Erie Otters of the OHL before the Oilers selected him in the 2015 NHL Entry Draft. We have a collection of 11 signed McDavid Erie Otters items, including a stick, Otters jersey and 9 Otters pucks. Basic Certs from JSA will accompany each puck, with an LOA from the authenticator for the signed jersey and stick.
The jersey has a Reebok label and is roughly a size 56, with a gorgeous tackle twill team crest and numbers. Connor has signed within the reverse “7” in silver, with the signature blending into the background material somewhat. A JSA sticker numbered “Z62278” has been affixed. The stick is in solid blue with McDavid/Otters graphics, with Connor adding a flowing silver paint pen signature across the blade with no issues. There is some handling wear to the stick along with a few chips. Lastly, the pucks are all identical OHL Otters official game pucks, with Connor signing each in silver over the logo. Stickers have also been affixed to each from JSA, with the aforementioned Basic Certs to accompany.
