Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction June 2018
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/19/2018
Matched set of Rawlings RHG-9 short cuff style gloves in the color scheme of the St. Louis Blues worn by 741-goal man Brett Hull late in the 1997-98 season. Each glove has “Hull” screened onto the thumb and a marker number “4” written inside the cuff. Both are autographed by Brett on the thumb padding where he has added the “741 Goals” notation. Light, but obvious wear inside the palms with a custom insert added to the left palm. Also included are two game-used sticks from Brett’s time with the Blues, a silver Easton HX4800 and a gold Easton HXP4905. Both aluminum shafts are correctly taped at the handle with gauze tips and near-identical autographed Christian blades can be found at the business end.
The two blades are bare of tape jobs and sport sweet signatures, one with the added PSA/DNA database stick to authenticate the autograph. The fiberglass-reinforced blades show Christian graphics on both sides, one stamped “Hull” and the other stamped “16”. Both blades show browning where they were heated to affect the twist in the curve. Our consignor has added custom hologram stickers to each glove and to both sticks.
