Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2018

Super chance here for a Super Mario lover or for someone who knows multiple Super Mario aficionados. Two 1985-86 O-Pee-Chee rookie cards are housed in the latest KSA holders, with one of them labeled NM+ 7.5 and looking inviting, while a less-than-smooth right edge looks to be the reason the other did not score higher than the NM 7 mark it received. We spot a little something, or more, on the (raw) rest, with the lowdown as follows. Three are EX with light corner/edge wear, with one at VG-EX and another at VG+. The only creases are easily detected in three low grade examples, with two of them multi-creased and downright Poor, with one not as bad and making it to F. Statistics on the back of card #9 recall Lemieux's 43-goal, 100-point rookie season, while the write-up mentions how "Mario converted a Boston mistake into his 1st NHL goal, during his first shift on the ice, 10-11-84." Oh, what a fabulous but oh-too-short career it was. Thanks Mario for the memories - you were one of the very best ever and a joy to watch.
