Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction June 2017

Brett Hull had begun his final countdown to joining the 500-goal club when he scored his second of two goals on November 3, 1996 with this gamer. After moving to within 10 goals of the milestone with his first goal against Dallas in St. Louis’ 3-2 win at ScottTrade Center, the Golden Brett brought the clock down to nine goals from 500 when he scored his second of the game, the 491st of his HOF career with this two-piece game-used stick, an Easton Pro Gold 95 Aluminum shaft with a Christian wood blade insert. Brett’s original tape jobs are on the knob and blade. Goal details are handwritten on a piece of vintage white hockey tape on the lower back of the shaft. Comes with Brett Hull's signed LOA.
Game use shows in nice wear to the bottom edge of the blade and red paint transfer on the tape job on the knob. “#491 Dallas 3 St. Louis 6 Unassisted Nov 5 96” is written on the vintage piece of hockey tape on the back of the shaft. There is a faint “Hull” stamp on the shaft of the wood blade insert.
