Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction June 2017
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/21/2017
Gathering of vintage attire worn and saved by Hockey Hall of Fame builder Badger Bob Johnson while heading up the hockey program at the University of Wisconsin during the Seventies, possibly into the early Eighties. The grouping of wearables begins with a vintage Seventies coach's windbreaker jacket in red and white with the BADGERS skate logo at the chest. The nylon jacket, in near mint condition, has elastic cuffs and a draw-string waist and is tagged in the collar by Champion in size XL. This is mated with a pair of heavy stretch knit training pants, again with the team's skate logo, in size large by Champion. The pants have zippers running up from each cuff and are in great shape. Rounding out the lot are a polo-style top in white, size X-Large by Champion with an embroidered "Wisconsin" and a black skate design at the chest and a wonderful wool sweater in red in size large with the "Wisconsin Hockey" badger logo embroidered onto the breast. All items are in excellent condition. Obtained in an estate sale of personal items that had been saved by Bob Johnson and will come with a letter of provenance.
