As the Montreal Canadiens sensation of the Forties and Fifties who took scoring goals to a new level, Maurice Richard was named to the NHLs First All-Star Team for the sixth consecutive time during the 49-50 season and this gold and diamond creation was awarded to commemorate the nomination. This puck-shaped memento presented to Maurice by the NHL is a 5/8 gold charm featuring Richards name and the six seasons he earned First Team status on the back. A diamond-studded star is on the front, with six additional real diamonds mounted along the edge. Richard was chosen eight times to the First All-Star Team with another six nods for the Second NHL All-Star Team over his career.
