Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction October 2016
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/9/2016
Established as Canada’s second major league franchise in 1977, the Toronto Blue Jays would climb to the summit of professional baseball within 15 seasons, winning back-to-back World Series championships in 1992 and ’93. This grandstand seat originates from the original home of the Jays, Exhibition Stadium. Roughly 31” in height, the solid blue Hussey seat features a silver affixed plate with worn “20” along the upper back rest, with both mounting arm rests intact. Nice use is shown, with marks, scratches and abrasions present, along with a few decades worth of dust/dirt lodged between joints. There is some surface rust present along the mounting arms, with the chair displaying extremely well overall. Canadian National Exhibition Stadium would serve as the home of the Toronto Blue Jays from 1977–1989.
